Hey everybody!
We are freakin <PUMPED> for what God is doing in our midst as we prepare to amplify Jesus by reaching Up, Out and In in Seattle!
Ok, maybe pumped in a different way, but I feel like this sometimes...
I have been asked by SO MANY great people what they could do to help! I wanted to let YOU know a few great ways to help us keep moving, taking ground and kicking devil butt!
1. Pray, Pray, Pray!
I am looking for people to commit to pray for us, our launch team, the church, the finances, the venues, and so much more! Can you commit to praying for any of that? Please contact me to let me know! All of the stuff we are doing needs to have brayer go before us, behind us and slathered all over us!
He is definately working on something...
Maybe prayer is something you do, but it’s not your “thang”. How about your granny??? grannies LOVE to pray for new churches!
Maybe prayer is new to you altogether… if so, don’t be intimidated by the religious perception that we all have of prayer. Instead, think of it as talking with your best friend, because Jesus wants a close relationship with you!
2. Build the Launch Team:
We have been knocked over by the amazing team God is building to Launch Sound Church in 2010! to date, we have about 15 fantastic people of all different kinds! (BE ON THE LOOKOUT AS WE ADD THEM AND THEIR SHINY FACES HERE!) (hint: subscribe to the rss feed above!)
these people are happy. Therefore, launching Sound Church must make you happy!
Who do you know that is looking for an opportunity to spread their wings? Sound Church will be a church community that empowers people to be who God has asked them to be. Maybe that someone is you?!?
We are believing for a MINIMUM of 50 on the team by February of 2010… there is so much to do, will YOU help?
3. Chip iN, Chippy Chipperson!
Sound Church is going to LAUNCH, not just launch… what I mean by that is we want to invest in the future of what God is calling us to do, and we can’t do it without YOU!
Seattle is one of the fastest growing cities in America right now and is has one of the least churched populations nationwide! Less than 11% are affiliated with an evangelical Christian church or community!
To launch effectively, we have a goal of raising $150,000.00! That is no small chunk of change! But SO FAR, through donations and pledges, we have only $116,000.00 to go!
One of the things this cash is going to be used to buy a trailer as we purpose to be a MOBILE Church. Mobile, you ask? yup! Because making this investment now means we can save hundreds of thousands of dollars on facilities that we can better invest in… PEOPLE! Additionally, we will invest in things like audio and multimedia equipment in order to communicate to a tech-driven generation. and finally one the LARGEST start-up costs is simply marketing! OUR COMMITTED TEAM WILL NOT TAKE ANY SALARY FROM THE LAUNCH FUND!!
What can YOU and OTHERS YOU KNOW do to help? No amount is too small to change lives forever!
Here is another way to say it:
If we could SNAP our fingers ad add 50 MEGA churches of 10,000 members each by tomorrow, we would still only be reaching 25% of the unchurched population under 44!
Seattle is one of the fastest growing cities, but even with all the GREAT churches there, it is untapped!
THE NEED IS HUGE! But TOGETHER we can make a difference!

Sound Church AT CPR
Not long ago, some of our Launch Team was able to attend the Church Planter’s RoundTable with ARC at River Valley Church. It was an incredible time to learn and grow so we can be the most effective church planters possible! Have a look at this article from Pastor Peter Haas of Substance Church.
